Plus Features

Journiv Plus unlocks additional features that expand how you analyze, share, and publish your journal content while keeping the same privacy-first, self-hosted model. This guide covers the currently available Plus features at a high level.

Tag Analytics

Tag Analytics is a comprehensive feature that provides detailed insights into how you use tags in your journal entries. It helps you understand your tagging patterns, discover trends, and organize your entries more effectively.

Overview

Tag Analytics gives you:

• Usage Statistics - See how many tags you've created and how often you use them
• Trend Analysis - Track tag usage over time with monthly breakdowns
• Distribution Insights - Understand how your tags are distributed across usage ranges
• Individual Tag Details - Get detailed analytics for specific tags
• Growth Tracking - Monitor how tag usage changes over time

Accessing Tag Analytics

To access Tag Analytics:

1. Navigate to Tags - Go to Settings → Tags
2. Open Analytics Tab - Click on the "Analytics" tab
3. View Analytics - Explore your tag usage data

Note: Tag Analytics requires an active Journiv Plus license. If you don't have Plus, you'll see an upgrade prompt.

Public Publishing

Public Publishing lets you share selected journal entries at a public Journiv URL.

What it gives you

• A public URL for a published entry
• Friendly sharing links generated from the entry title
• Stable per-entry public identifiers behind the scenes
• Control over whether published entries should be indexed by search engines
• Public PDF downloads for published entries

Typical use cases

• Sharing a polished personal essay or reflection
• Publishing selected writing without exposing the rest of your journal
• Sending a clean public link to friends, readers, or collaborators

Public Publishing is an optional Plus feature. Your unpublished entries remain private and are not exposed.

oEmbed Support

Published Journiv entries also support oEmbed, which allows compatible platforms and services to generate richer previews when your public post is embedded.

What it gives you

• Richer previews for published entries
• Better compatibility with tools and platforms that understand oEmbed
• A smoother sharing experience than plain links alone

oEmbed is available only for publicly published Journiv Plus posts. It is meant to improve how published entries appear when embedded elsewhere, not to expose private content.

Future Features

Journiv Plus will continue to grow over time. As a Plus subscriber, you automatically get access to newly released Plus features that are compatible with your license tier and version.
